Last week in Rome, representatives of the Afghan Government and UNESCO announced the discovery of 900 archaeological sites in Afghanistan, which were found thanks to the high resolution photos provided by the North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO).
These 900 deposits were first discovered in 2015, when the Afghan government proposed evaluating six mining areas in Kabul as a preliminary step to excavating. NATO offered its help to capture images, and in one year it managed to cover 16 thousand square kilometers where a total of 2,500 archaeological sites were observed, among which were these 900 new.
Between the most remarkable discoveriesBuddhist and Islamic temples, clay fortifications, monasteries, nomadic settlements and a caravanserai have been found, which was used in the East as an inn on the caravan route.
After studying History at the University and after many previous tests, Red Historia was born, a project that emerged as a means of dissemination where you can find the most important news of archeology, history and humanities, as well as articles of interest, curiosities and much more. In short, a meeting point for everyone where they can share information and continue learning.
