For many historians and archaeologists Puma Punku is one of the most mysterious places in the world. This place in Bolivia has always been the object of research and many hypotheses, some quite serious and others where it is stated that there were advanced prehistoric civilizations or even that aliens had some kind of relationship.

It is located at southeast of Lake Titicaca, in the Andes, another point of mystery that has always been studied. Puma Punku covers part of the ancient city of Tiahuanaco, a city before the presence of the Incas, which adds even more mystery.

One of the reasons why it attracts so much attention this site is related to architecture, of which today it seems that it does not have a great explanation and that is upsetting the international community.

The ruins of Puma Punku are amazing because many of the stone blocks are cut with precision and finesse never seen before.. In addition, to add more mystery, many of the stones have been studied and there are no other chisel marks or the use of any other kind of tool to work the stone.

Jason Yaeger, Professor of Anthropology at the University of Wisconsin (United States), says that this city was abandoned when the Incas conquered this entire area around the year 1470 and at that time the Incas did not hesitate to adapt the city to their tastes.

According to the beliefs of this civilization, Puma Punku was the place where its deity of creation, Viracocha, created all the people of the ancestral ethnic groups and was sending them to all parts of the world to grow up to live in peace.

Many studies have been done to determine the origin of Puma Puku And after radiocarbon testing, it is revealed that the place was built between 500 and 600 AD. although other sources allude that this dating is inaccurate and even assure that there may be thousands of years of difference.

Exactly about 15,000 years before Christ, as explained by the first explorers as well as the engineer Arthur Posnansky, the first modern people to visit this mysterious place. Posnansky claimed that they were used astronomical alignments and that the place was built as if it were a giant clock, something shared by the Bolivian archaeologist Oswald Rivera.

Other researchers claim that all this is mere conjecture and that there are many errors that lead to think that the construction like clockwork was a coincidence and for this reason the dispute between one and the other continues.

What is clear is that so far no one has explained how they could be built with so much success and perfection the structures that are still standing, so, in this case, we will have to arm ourselves with patience and see how little by little new hypotheses appear.
